The inspiration
Most fragrances work by accumulation. This one works by subtraction.
Incense opens it and stays present the whole way through, which is unusual: it is normally asked to sit at the base and stay still. Here it leads. Agar Wood and amber gather beneath it, dense and resinous, and a single musk closes underneath. That is the whole architecture, and there is nowhere in it to hide.
The result is quiet and very difficult to ignore, which are not the same thing. Sinaï suits people who would rather be asked what they are wearing than tell anyone.
