N°7 Bonaparte opens on blackcurrant, bergamot, apple and pineapple, and keeps that brightness all the way down. Birch and pink berry hold it green; amber and musk close it clean.
The inspiration
The opening is the whole argument. Blackcurrant, bergamot, apple and pineapple arrive together, bright and juicy, and nothing that follows tries to take that away.
Birch is the turn, and it turns green rather than dark: cool, sappy, faintly bitter, with pink berry and jasmine keeping the fruit from going syrupy. Patchouli sits under all of it, more earth than weight.
Amber, vanilla, moss and musk close without heaviness, the way clean skin smells at the end of a warm day. Bonaparte stays bright for hours. Wear it when the day is long and you want to feel awake in it.
