N°1 ABSOLUTA
Sharp green pepper over something already smouldering. Absoluta holds absinthe against incense and dry wood, and lets a single thread of vanilla keep the whole thing from going cold.
The inspiration
Wear it and the first thing you notice is how little it wants to please. Pink pepper and absinthe arrive sharp and green, closer to a cut stem than to a fruit.
The centre is where it settles. Incense and dry woods give the fragrance its frame, resinous and a little severe, and they hold that shape for hours. Vanilla comes last and does not soften them. It sits alongside, one warm note against the smoke, and the contrast is the point.
This is the first fragrance the house made, and it still sets the terms for the rest. Wear it when you would rather be remembered than liked.
