The inspiration
Three fragrances in the collection carry the Sultan name. This is the one to start with.
The opening is shared: bergamot and geranium, green and a little bitter. After that it separates. Where the original settles into musk and dry wood, this one lets flowers into the heart, and the middle stays lighter for it. Cedar and vanilla close instead of cedar and a gourmand accord, so the end is rounder and less resinous.
It is not a diluted Sultan. It is the same idea composed for someone who wants less weight.
