Sublime Vanille
Two vanillas rather than one. Tahitian and South American, side by side in the heart, with lemon and bergamot above and tonka and musk below.
The inspiration
There are two vanillas in this, from two places, and they do not smell the same.
Lemon and bergamot open it, and their job is to keep the opening from being sweet immediately. Then the heart: Tahitian vanilla, which is floral and slightly anise, beside South American vanilla, which is darker and closer to the pod. Jasmine sits between them. Tonka and musk close underneath and blur the two together.
For anyone who thinks they know what vanilla smells like. Most people know one vanilla. This has two, and they argue a little.
