The inspiration
It begins cold. Grapefruit, lemon and bergamot over an icy accord, sharp enough that the first impression is temperature rather than smell.
Then it warms, and it does so quickly. Cognac arrives in the heart with cinnamon and caramel beside it, and the shift from cold to warm is the most interesting thing the fragrance does. Tonka, oak and cashmere wood settle at the base, dry and slightly sweet, and hold the warmth there.
Two fragrances in one, and the join is the point. Mirage is for people who get bored of a fragrance before it has finished.
